Alex Jones, trainee solicitor at Holden Smith

What is your role at Holden Smith and how did you get into a career in law?

I’m a trainee solicitor here at Holden Smith, after joining as a conveyancing assistant. I studied Law at university attaining a degree and combined masters/LPC in this area.

What are we likely to find you doing on a day-to-day basis? 

My regular day at Holden Smith includes updating clients and exchanging on property sales, and I’ll also complete various files to do with sales, purchases and re-mortgages, as well as and working independently on various cases.

What kind of problem might you solve on a typical day / week?

You’ll find me solving complex sale enquiries and client queries on transactions of every nature.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

It has to be calling our clients to tell them they have bought their dream home! It’s also great when I receive good feedback as we work hard to maintain high levels of service.

 Castle Hill. The views are stunning.
