Sarah Hartshorn is a Team Manager and Conveyancing Executive at Holden Smith

What is your role at Holden Smith and how did you get into a career in law?

I am a Team Manager and Conveyancing Executive at our Leeds Crossgates office. I started my career in law just over 10 years ago, following a career change.

What are we likely to find you doing on a day-to-day basis?

Guiding and assisting other staff members in my team to learn and progress, as well as speaking with clients and dealing with a variety of day-to-day conveyancing matters.

What kind of problem might you solve on a typical day / week?

Managing complex legal title issues to ensure we meet the deadline for our clients.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Client satisfaction. I love knowing we’ve helped a client purchase their new home and seeing how happy they are when you tell them they can pick the keys up.

Tell us what makes Holden Smith different…

We just care.

What three words do you think (hope!) your colleagues would use to describe you?

Caring, friendly, supportive.

What are we most likely to find you doing when you’re not at work?

Watching the Mighty Whites (aka Leeds Untied) play football!

What’s your favourite spot in Yorkshire and why?

Elland Road watching the best football team in the world.
